Connor is almost 6 months now! I can't believe how fast time has gone by and how much he has grown. Here's a little update on what he is doing now:
He sat up for the first time this past Saturday...I mean really sat up...without help...all by himself...like (*gulp*) a big boy. He is also eating solids now. He tried rice cereal first, then butternut squash , followed by carrots, sweet potato and peas (yuck!). And the only fruit he's tried is banana's. ..which he loves! He has started saying 'ba ba' a little bit which is really the only syllable he has said thus far standing by his crib while he's sleeping and whispering 'Mum- mum- mum' into his ear has not caused any success thus far). He can put his soother in his mouth by himself - hallelujah and praise the lord! This actually boggles my mind to see his soother on the floor beside him and then next thing I know it's in his mouth. It's like he's a real person that like...does stuff. Um, what else? He gave me a sweet, slobberykiss suck on the cheek once and I have been bagging him to do it ever since. He's not giving in to my peer pressure though and is making me wait it out. He's a jolly jumper fanatic and he loves to be startled.
Favorite Foods: Apples...the real deal. You like sucking on Mommy and Daddy's apples. Not the part with skin but the flesh parts.
Favorite Meal: You are only 6 months so you don't get much variety. You are just happy to be allowed to swallow something other then milk. I would say you like your cereal and butternut squash the best.
Favorite TV shows: You love your Baby Einstein movie (Vincent Van Goat - World of Colors) and you love the intro to 'Saved By the Bell'. I can not get your attention when you are watching either of these two things. You are usually eating your cereal when 'Saved By the Bell' comes on and you are in another world until it's over.
Favorite Activities: You love your Jolly Jumper, playing with electronics (cell phone, normal phone, computer keyboard etc.) and being startled.
Favorite Outing: You really enjoyed swimming, then it would be our walks and then the mommy baby movies.
Favorite Words: You haven't said any words yet but you love when we say 'Da da da da da da'
Dislikes: You don't like when your puppies fight standing on their hind legs and you don't like waiting for Mommy to make your bottle when you are hungry
