Waugh's 1st family vacay

What a whirlwind.

Great trip? Yes.

Tough trip? Yes.

First night away, I pulled Connor out of the truck when we arrived at our first destination and he was hot as coals. Yep. Fever. On Day one. D-A-Y O-N-E! The fever lasted for a third of the trip, making it difficult to do much of anything. He was quite cranky and of course - sooky for Mommy...sorry, Mamma (As per Connor, "Yours name not Mommy! Yours name MAMA!!"). We tried our luck at Magic Kingdom on one of Connor's 'off' days. BAD IDEA! Not even Winnie the Pooh himself could get that boy to smile. But the second time around, we went to Hollywood Studios, saw the Mickey Mouse clubhouse crew, and all was right in the world. It was a blast.

The pool was probably Connor's favorite thing to do. He was a bit timid at first, but by the end of the week he was practically pinching us to drop him in. Just a regular old fish, that boy. I already miss it there. I swear I can still smell the chlorine in the pool. It was so nice to spend time with my family. I miss them already. It's hard to only see them a few days of the year. It's even harder to have them miss Connor growing up. It's like every time they see him, he's a different kid.

It was difficult at times, but all in all, our 1st Waugh Family vacation was a huge success. I can't wait to start planning the next one.
